The luxury car Ferrari has been launched in India. It has come as a super hybrid car, which has been brought to the Indian market at a price of Rs 5.40 crore (ex-showroom). The new car is inspired by the J50 model sold in the Japanese market and was introduced last year.

Look & Design

The design for the Ferrari 296 GTB, in addition to sharing some of the design of the older model, included a number of new designs. In the Century Profile, this model draws design inspiration from the SF90 Stradale and 250 LeMans. It gets a wide air dam on the front bumper, a large diffuser at the rear bumper, and headlights inspired by the teardrop shape, door-mounted ORVMs, sleek LED taillights and a black stripe in the middle and ventrally-mounted exhaust. Also on offer is a rear spoiler that helps with downforce.

While this Ferrari model has a long list of cabin features, the highlights of the 296 GTB are a clean dashboard layout with a digital instrument cluster, haptic controls and a new steering wheel.

Ferrari 296 GTB: Engine Specifications

Like other Ferrari cars, this car has also been brought with a tremendous powertrain. The 296 GTB is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 engine that is capable of producing 645bhp. Further, it is paired with an electric motor, which makes 819 bhp and 740 Nm of power output. For transmission, Ferrari has been equipped with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. With this powertrain, the Ferrari 296 GTB Super Hybrid car claims to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 2.9 seconds. Also, it gets an electric-only range of 25 km. The biggest feature of this Ferrari car is that its top speed is 330 kmph.

The supercar can go up to 25 km in pure EV mode and can reach a top speed of 135 kmph. The battery pack size is 7.45 kWh which is placed behind the seats. Being a plug-in hybrid, the battery pack can be charged in 1 hour via the charger.
